Description

Progress not perfection! The human experience is ever evolving as we navigate through our developmental stages. A part of our process is to grow and learn new tools for navigating life, and therapy is a service that can assist in learning new skills and becoming more self-aware. Utilizing this service effectively will promote progress as you are provided with the support to be your own change agent. I further hope that as we embark on this journey together, you begin to show yourself appreciation for the work that you are doing throughout the process.

Working with diverse populations for over 8 years and being a witness to the positive transformation of clients has always been a rewarding experience. The process of therapy is different for everyone and as we navigate through your process, my intention is to support you in developing your own course of treatment. I believe that therapy is what you are willing to put in and receive back in return. Starting this journey is the first step to taking control of your own healing and self growth.

As an eclectic therapist, my specialization with Substance Use and Mental health over the years has equipped me with the qualifications to provide effective treatment utilizing the appropriate behavioral models. Throughout the course of my career I have witnessed that with the unlearning of old behaviors and the development of new behaviors, symptoms can be treated successfully long term. Navigating life transitions can be difficult for everyone and sometimes all we need is stable and consistent support. I strive to always foster a collaborative environment focused on the identified goals of the people I provide services to.

While providing therapy in the areas of anxiety, dual diagnosis, relationship issues, domestic violence, and minority related issues, etc I have found it most helpful to educate the people I work with on the conditions they are feeling challenged with. Through our course of working together, I will provide support, encouragement, open dialogue, laughter, and most importantly, a safe environment for you to push yourself towards your goals.
