Brandy Allen, LICSW is a dynamic psychotherapist with several years of experience working in healthcare and community settings. She acquired a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Human Development and Psychology from Howard University and a Master’s of Clinical Social Work degree from Boston University. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Social Work from Simmons University.
Through clinical and administrative roles, Brandy has provided care to a vast population of underserved individuals from diverse backgrounds experiencing social, intellectual, emotional and mental health challenges. She provides short-term and long-term individual therapy for adolescents and adults; group therapy; intake evaluation; crisis intervention; case administration; and consultation with community-based supports and agencies.
Her therapeutic approach is a mix of multiple disciplines including cognitive behavioral theory, strength-based, person-centered and solution-focused. She provides treatment for a wide range of mental health issues but specializes in adolescent and adult care, bipolar, stress, depression, anxiety, interpersonal relationship difficulties, African-American health, women’s health, trauma and PTSD. Brandy considers it a privilege to serve others and strives to help everyone whom she works with live a more fulfilling life.
