Description

Dr. Moseley is a Christian psychologist with nearly 30 years of experience in the mental health field across the lifespan. She is currently on staff in the Division of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at Boston Medical Center and is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. Dr. Moseley is also the CEO of Empowerment Counseling and Psychotherapy Center, a thriving group practice with locations in MA and RI.

She has worked extensively with parents and children struggling with emotional and behavioral disorders and those with traumatic exposures including abuse, neglect, abandonment, and management of issues related to grief and loss.

She has experience in evidence based treatments for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder including Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), treatment of traumatic grief, Depression, Anxiety, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder. Dr. Moseley also specializes in Christian counseling, marriage and family therapy, including work with interracial couples, multiracial individuals and blended families. She also works with individuals of Caribbean descent. 

Other significant areas of interest include parent management training, long term effects of foster care placement and resilience, marital conflict, transition to adulthood and career issues. She has also done work in the area of disaster mental health through her involvement with the Bahamas Psychological Association in the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas as well as work related to the global COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr. Moseley earned her Doctorate in Counseling Psychology at Temple University and her Master’s Degree in Human Services Psychology at La Salle University, both in Philadelphia, PA
