Dr. Moseley is a Christian psychologist with nearly 30 years of experience in the mental health field across the lifespan. Dr. Moseley is the CEO of Empowerment Counseling and Psychotherapy Center, a thriving group practice with locations in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. She recently transitioned out of her staff psychologist role in the Division of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at Boston Medical Center, where she was also the Site Training Director for the Mental Health Counseling & Behavioral Medicine Program within the department.
Dr. Moseley has worked extensively with parents and children struggling with emotional and behavioral disorders and those with traumatic exposures including abuse, neglect, abandonment, and management of issues related to grief and loss. She has experience in evidence-based treatments for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder including Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD, treatment of traumatic grief, Depression, Anxiety, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder.
Dr. Moseley also specializes in Christian counseling, marriage and family therapy, including work with interracial couples, multiracial individuals and blended families. She also works with individuals of Caribbean descent. Other significant areas of interest include parent management training, long-term effects of foster care placement and resilience, marital conflict, transition to adulthood and career issues. She has also done work in the area of disaster mental health through her involvement with the Bahamas Psychological Association in the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas as well as work related to the global COVID-19 pandemic.
Dr. Moseley completed her Postdoctoral Psychology Fellowship in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Boston Medical Center. She earned her Doctorate in Counseling Psychology at Temple University and her Master’s Degree in Human Services Psychology at La Salle University both in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Moseley is a licensed psychologist in the states of Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
