Hello and welcome! My goal is to create a safe, comfortable and judgement free space for you to explore and examine aspects of you life that have or are causing you distress. As your therapist, I will collaborate with you to; identify your goals and strengths, empower you to make lasting change, help you rediscover hope, peace, and balance, and experience emotional and/or spiritual healing.
Every person brings their own unique experiences and perspectives of the world into therapy, and because of that, there is no “one size fits all” model that I use in practice. Instead, I incorporate elements of; Person-Centered Therapy, Trauma Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution Focused Therapy, Expressive Arts, Mindfulness Therapy, Mind-Body Techniques, Coaching, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Christian Counseling Techniques, to meet you where you are and encourage you toward your individual goals and ultimately your life vision.
I have a wide range of experience working with adolescents, adults, and families who have been directly impacted by or have experienced; complex trauma, neglect, violence (community or domestic), sexual abuse or assault, chronic shame, major life transitions, relational or relationship issues, crises of faith, symptoms of anxiety and/ depression, low self-esteem, body image issues, adjustment issues, loss, emotional regulation issues and compassion fatigue/burnout.
